Sometimes mistaken for IDEs, the main difference is that IDEs provide more powerful tools to simplify the coding process. That said, popular code editors like Visual Studio Code have become so fully featured that it's hard to differentiate between the two!
So, to keep things simple, I'll be including both types of coding environments in this article.
