I'm having some CSS/text formatting issues

I'm having a couple of issues with formatting CSS on /r/Disney. I know some things about editing CSS, but I've been trying to fix these ones for a while and they just cause more problems when I fix them.

Image of the problems

First, with the new RES update I just got, I've noticed that the line just above the comment box on threads overlaps over the box, and when you click the box, it blocks the text editing buttons.

Second, when there are no comments on a thread, the "no comments" text is unreadable when using a background that's not light. I've tried changing the color, but it affects text on other parts of the sub and makes them unreadable.
